Déjà Vu Esoterica is a spiritual and aesthetic experience created to delight the senses, providing a curated, inclusive selection of exquisitely made objects for modern practitioners. Our mission is to be a hub for our community, encouraging everyone to gather, share knowledge, seek guidance, and feel a deep sense of belonging.
Our reading room features divine specialists experienced in tarot, oracle, lenormand, mediumship, astrology, and dream interpretation.
In our classroom, we offer beginning and advanced workshops in creativity, craft, and magic, as well as monthly clubs and community meetups.
Owned by Gem and Glenn Hotvet, Deja Vu opened on October 8, 2022.
Gem has been hanging out in the occult section of the book store for 20+ years. Déjà Vu Esoterica is an outpouring of a life long interest in mythology, symbolism, witchcraft, and all things esoteric. This love letter to the craft and the Goddess is inspired by her depth of love for tarot and lenormand, obsession with art and myth, the gifts daily practice has brought forth, and and unquenchable thirst to learn more.
Our values are the compass that guide everything we do. We believe in the golden rule, fighting the power, immigrants make our community better, Black lives matter, trans women are women, magick is real, abortion is healthcare, we need to do LAND BACK, bigotry is for losers, and so is "AI".. If you agree that all of us are inherently valuable and worthy because we are living creatures on this earth, come with us.
If you disagree: If you support policies of oppression or harm please see your way out. Our work, our energy, and our community aren't for you. We are here to protect our people, who are mostly women, femmes, and folks who are under attack daily because of our government's policies. If you don't like that we are excluding you, don't reach out. Please reflect on why you want to hurt other people and work on yourself. We all believe you can grow and leave that ideology behind.
