Queering the Runes
Embark on a journey through the Elder Futhark in a safe, Queer space with Mystic Bard Lux (they/she/he) as your guide.
In this workshop, we will organize the aetts, recount the mythology, and delve into the translations of the ancient proto-alphabet we now use for divination. With elemental and feminist lenses, our focus will be on flipping the script and redefining our modern connection to these early symbols.
Learning Objectives
- Define queerness as both a spiritual and societal concept
- Understand the order and structure of the Elder Futhark
- Examine how primitive elements are driving forces of existence
- Contextualize the runes with creative journaling, visualizations, and somatic exercises
