Bayberry Mary Candle

I've heard this saying two ways: "Burn a bayberry candle down to the socket to have lots of food in the larder & gold in the pocket!" or "Bayberry candles burned to the socket, bring health to the home and wealth to the pocket!"

The tradition of burning a bayberry candle on special occasions originates in 1800s New England, where they discovered that bayberry wax burns longer, cleaner, and brighter than other candles at the time. Partake in this tradition by burning this candle overnight on New Year's Eve. We like to burn one on Guadalupe's feast day (Dec 12th) as well.
