The Runes and Roots Oracle

This deck for divination combines different fortune telling mediums in its symbolism, incorporating elements from the Elder Futhark runes, European witchcraft, and herbalism. Each of the 24 runes have been paired with a plant that the author has correlated to sharing energetic correspondences and shared thematic traits under the author’s creative discretion. The illustrations that adorn the cards have been inspired by 16th century engravings and images found in old grimoires that add to the themes that each card evokes. The deck aims to be versatile; the guidebook includes suggested forms of divination with it but also diverse ritual uses such as rune casting, consecrating other tarot and oracle decks, and more.
