Our Powerful Favorite: the Witch’s Bottle Protection Spell
You’ll need:
A clean, empty glass jar that can be sealed with a top
Salt
Nails, screws, razorblades, or pins
Broken glass
Red thread
Dead spiders, ants, wasps, or other creepy creatures
Herbs both protective and baneful
Claws or teeth from predator animals (like cats)
Your urine
First, it is very important to state that the only things you absolutely must have to make this spell work is the jar, the salt, the urine, and the sharp objects. The objects you choose for this will be completely personal to you and what you have access to. If you only have nails to use, that's fine! The rustier, the better! No icky bugs? No problem! What I want to emphasize is that I like to add more things to it because I feel it adds to the repulsiveness of the spell. You can get really creative with this part. I added a wad of my pipe resin once because it’s so disgusting to me, and I thought that personal link couldn’t hurt. Take care gathering your items and then schedule a time to execute the spell. I think sunset on a Saturday during a full moon or during a waning moon cycle is the ideal timing.
When the time comes you will need to prepare yourself and your space. Lay out all of your ingredients and cleanse the room you’re in. If you’re using baneful herbs, sprinkle those at the very bottom of the jar. Then top those with the sharps, fill the jar half way. Once you’ve done this you’ll add a layer of any other creepy or gross objects you want to include (like bugs, and claws, and bong resin, oh my!), and top it off with any protective herbs that you might like to use. Pour salt over the layered contents and then top with fresh urine from the person needing protection. I have heard that you can use consecrated wine instead of the pee, but I say reject modernity and embrace tradition for best results.
Once you’ve put together all of the contents of your little witch bottle, you can seal it with wax.
The easiest way I have found to do this is to melt the base of a black chime candle to the lid (or free a black tealite from its tin and balance it on top) and then burn and let the wax drip all over the bottle.
Lastly, you’ll need to bury this in your yard. This should be done away from your home, or at a crossroads near your apartment. Repeat yearly if you aren’t positive the bottle remains unbroken.
