Our Favorite Love Spell: How to Draw Your Lover to Yourself like a Magnet
Learning to do love magic can be filled with pain and pitfalls.
Spells that push someone into a commitment or feeling state don’t last long, and they have to be constantly maintained. It’s a long hard uphill struggle that will result in heartbreak every time. The best kind of love spell is the one where you conjure your perfect love. It’s so much easier. You’re working with gravity instead of against it.
This one is very simple and it works! Start by making a list of appealing qualities. Include ethical, geographical, emotional, financial, and any other requirements including areas of interest, political leanings, hobbies, personality traits, or desirable attributes. Be as specific as you like, but focus on things you want instead of things you don’t want. Consider how you want them to make you feel, how they should speak to you, and be in a relationship. Consider how you want to be treated and what kinds of ways you need to see love expressed. Dwell on these things for some time, really make sure you’re positive you know who you’re looking for. Also consider whether or not you have the room and time for this person in your life before you decide to proceed.
When the time is right
Set the mood with the appropriate music. Dress a pink 7 or 14 day Virgen of Guadalupe or Aphrodite candle with jasmine oil, rosemary, and rose petals while focusing on the joy of harmonious partnership. Add biodegradable glitter if you feel like it. Since this candle will be in glass just dress the top and don’t use pieces that are too large, place the flammable herbs away from the wick. Trim the wick to just a little longer than ¼”. Spend a few moments centering your mind before proceeding.
Choose a nice and large piece of paper for this spell. Write out your list leaving 2 inch wide margins (at least). Use red ink (beet juice works especially powerfully) and write neatly.
When you are finished with your list go ahead and light your incense and your candle, all the while focusing on the qualities you want this person to show to you. Then present your offerings (I suggest pink roses and an apple) as well as some Libra moon water.
Say something similar to:
“Oh Goddess, I am here today to ask for your help. I come bearing gifts of roses and apple, both symbols of love, to ask that this kind and loving person be brought into my life.”
Read your list, describing them to Her.
When you finish reading from the list, take a pair of sharp scissors and cut the extra margins of the paper away as you say:
“I will cut away every unworthy seeker as I cut away the edges of this paper. Guide me Goddess, and protect my heart, as I look for the one who is also looking for me. Let my will be done, I can feel the wheels in motion. Thank you for bringing this love into my life.”
Let the candle burn until it goes out on its own. Keep curtains and pets away as it burns down. Focus on this list every morning until the candle is burned out. Then put the list away. You have to allow yourself opportunities to cross paths with this person for this spell to work.
The second part of this spell requires some real Queen of Swords energy.
The Queen of Swords is older and wiser, she is independent, she uses discernment, her intellect is how she makes decisions instead of her emotions, and she is very picky about her partners. She begs us to look at the hard facts. She reaches out a hand in compassion, but she connects on the intellectual level. She refuses to settle for anything less than truth, even if her head is in the clouds. Yes, she has high standards to be met, but her feet are still on solid ground. She tells it like it is, using precise speech to avoid all confusion. So, this part can be a little more difficult than the intention setting part of the spell.
As you meet people who catch your eye you have to look at the list you’ve made. You’ve prayed over it and you’ve decided that you deserve it, so that means you must cut away anyone who isn’t worthy. And if they don’t fit this description they don’t qualify. No matter how charming or funny or good looking you think they are, if they clearly aren’t the person you’ve conjured you must cut them loose. It’s non-negotiable. This keeps space open for the person you’re attracting to you, and tells the universe that you’ve learned your lesson and don't want any more of your previous relationship dynamics.
With time and practice it gets easier to see the red flags and cut away anyone who isn’t meant for you. After some time you’ll look beside you and realize that the person next to you is exactly that perfect lover you asked to be sent to you and that you’ve found one another.
This spell also easily can be adapted for conjuring the kind of employment, housing, or platonic friendship you desire. Just substitute the appropriate ingredients and possibly deities. When we shift to prioritize ourselves by not settling it changes how the world interacts with us. We recognise our value so we won’t settle for less than what we require.
