A Lot of Y’all Are Energy Workers & Don’t Even Know It

This conversation that keeps coming up at the shop, over and over, over the past couple of years. Something I've noticed is that a lot of people are doing energy work at their jobs every day and don't even know it.

For instance, beauty professionals and health professionals are not only dealing with our physical bodies, but also the emotional state of the people they're serving. Especially our beauty professionals, they get to spend hours at a time with us and see our highest and lowest points, they support us through the long arc of our growth and progress. They often don't have mechanisms present in their workplaces to help them process the heaviness that they hold for clients at their most difficult moments. Healthcare professionals have to see a whole lot of people, every day, who are in a state of anxiousness about their health and wellbeing. Service industry workers like retail clerks and bartenders get gratuitous trauma-dumps from random people daily. These are all forms of energy work.

As a reader, I cleanse and ground. I use shielding when necessary. I have special jewelry that is consecrated for helping to protect me as I give the support that my clients require. I still feel drained as hell after a day of readings sometimes, and I don't read cards every day. I don't know how some of you do it every day!

How can you utilize these techniques in your own life? We offer a variety of tools and supplies geared towards protection & cleansing. Consecrating a necklace or ring is very easy. Burning herbs or using a cleansing spray is even easier. You can ask for protection from a deity, perform a ritual and call the power in, or even visualize and expand your own power to create a shield.
